We spent two days/nights in Portland recently, and had the pleasure of having dinner at McCormick & Schmick's Harborside at the Marina. We had mixed up our reservation time with another reservation, and were 45 minutes late. The staff was very gracious and accommodating, and seated us quickly. We had a table on one of the upper terraces, and had a very enjoyable and personable waiter named Thomas. We began our meal by ordering their famous NW Raspberry Martini ... that is one yummy drink! We
The Casa Naranja is a small unpretentious Spanish restaurant and bar on Mississippi Avenue which serves various tapas ... The night we went we tried the tiger shrimp with fried anchovies and garlic sherry sauce, the Dungeness crab ravioli with sundried tomato toast points, and the house bruschetta with smoked sweet onions and feta cheese, all very good ... This was enough for a couple ... However, one can order the tapas as needed, so there's no problem in asking for a few at a time ... They

My girlfriends and I scoped out the place before a day of shopping, and it was exactly the fuel we needed. Between the creative selection of eggs, pancakes, soups and, of course, first class coffee, we were very pleased with our choice. Not only did the meals leave our tastebuds satisfied, but our wallets were delighted as well. Each of our meals, including tip, came to a whopping $15 - a very good deal.A suggestion: try the spinach, tomato and brie scrambled eggs. The portion is enough to fill
My wife and I and a bunch of friends went down to the Green Dragon (the Lucky Lab was waaay to packed) in SE Portland. What a cool place this is for microbrew! If you love microbrew (budweiser fans go elsewwhere) then check this place out, they offer a lots of guest beers so you'll be in nirvana (isn't that PDX for microbrew anyway?). Plus the food was great. I had the Kobe cheddar burger and my wife had the grilled salmon sandwich, both of which we loved. French fries were really good, too!

This is one of my favorite indie boutiques in Portland. It's right in the heart of the fun and funky Mississippi district, so you can grab a pre- or post-shopping microbrew, burrito or baked good (all within less than a block). The store itself is small, but with a very nicely curated selection of clothes and accessories that suit my style -- a little edgy, but not too young; high-quality, mostly natural-fiber materials. Labels you can count on seeing here include Prairie Underground, Penguin,
